Father, in the Holy Spirit, inflame the hearts of all your sons in the Society of Jesus with the fire that our three founding fathers, Ignatius, Francis Xavier and Peter Faber, drew from the Heart of Jesus, your Son, Our Lord, Saviour and King.<\/p>\n
Give us, Lord, the wisdom of our Father Ignatius so that we may recognise \u2013 and respond to \u2013 the call of the Spirit in our lives, and his active presence in the vital and ever new challenges of your Kingdom and of your Church. Give each one of us I\u00f1igo\u2019s vision and skill of inspiring and encouraging all involved in our apostolic mission.<\/p>\n
Give us, Lord, the ardent zeal of Francis Xavier, his readiness to take on ever new risks and challenges to spread the love of your Son Jesus, and bring the light of the Gospel on new shores, in new situations. May we also kindle it at the heart of our people\u2019s struggle in the face of injustice, poverty and exploitation.<\/p>\n
Give us, Lord, Peter Faber\u2019s fine sense of your ways in the hearts of all those we encounter. Give us his sensitive openness to friendship and gift of conversation with those of all languages, cultures and faiths, and even with those we might regard as opposed to us. As true Friends in the Lord, bind us together with bonds of acceptance, affection, encouragement and team spirit rooted in you.<\/p>\n
Mary, tender Mother and Queen of our three early companions and our Mother, too, spread the mantle of your love and mercy over each one of us, your sinful sons, our communities, all the friends who work by our side, and all those entrusted to us in any way.<\/p>\n
Mary, place us with your Son. Give us strength when we feel tempted to cowardice and mediocrity. Inspire us to ever more ardent generosity in our mission for God\u2019s people.<\/p>\n
